Remington Stringer has never been like most girls. She’s outspoken, brazen and wants nothing more than to escape the Nevadan hell hole that she calls home.
On the brink of eighteen, with a deceased mother and a well-meaning, yet absent father, she is forced to fend for herself. The only person she’s ever had to depend on is her borderline obsessive stepbrother, Ryan. But, what used to be her anchor is quickly becoming a loose cannon.
When Remi gets the opportunity to attend the best private school in the state during her senior year of high school, she jumps at the chance. Then she meets Mr. James. Ornery, aloof, and totally irresistible.
Most girls would swoon in secrecy.
Most girls would doodle his name with hearts in their notebook.
But Remi Stringer has never been like most girls.

I received an advanced readers copy of Misbehaved by Charleigh Rose in exchange for my honest review.

When I read the blurb for this book I was sold and wanted to read it, plus there was so much buzz going around about it my interest was more then peaked.

When I first started, only a few chapters in, I was asking myself “Why am I reading this?” The student/teacher relationship usually isn’t a top favorite of mine, and I was struggling reading this book. I continued to push through those beginning chapters and I’m so glad I did, because the book that emerged after chapter 8 was the book I was hoping to read.

This story is a student/teacher romance, so of course it’s taboo. Remi is not yet 18 when she starts this ‘thing’ with her debate teacher Mr. James. There is a addicting backstory to this man who is on a mission to destroy Remi’s step-brother. There are so many parts to this story, that all tie into each other but only unfold little by little, which keeps you on the edge of our seat. I felt for Remi, and even Mr. James and the hand that life has dealt them. The chemistry was palpable, and you even forget that Remi is a teenager and Mr. James is her teacher, because of the chemistry. It is like these two are destined for each other no matter how hard they try to stop it from happening.

4 Stars, due to the slow start, but it recovers and draws you into this crazy world that is Remi and Mr. James.
